These shades are beautiful! Yes, they ARE darker than pictured, but if you actually read the description, like I did, then you'll know you are getting a "stone" colored curtain and expect them to be a tad darker than pictured, before reading all the damn griping in other reviews. And in actuality, they really aren't THAT much darker. These curtains are very well made, and are comparable to more expensive brands. You definitely get what you pay for, and then some. I have two very large picture windows, and I paired two of each of these with two charcoal gray panels, and they are just beautiful! I've received tons of compliments from friends and family that have been over since hanging these curtains. I am highly satisfied with my curtains, and am super happy that I chose to buy them anyway, despite the negative reviews! If you are on the fence, go ahead and buy them, you won't be disappointed, because they are really beautiful! Especially paired with a cute little magnetic owl tie back!
